Goalkeeper
Alfonso De Lucia (Livorno): Stunned by Christian Maggio’s magnificent strike, De Lucia had a moment of madness late on, coming out to challenge German Denis and then blocking a Luca Cigarini follow-up with his hands outside the box, earning a sending off.
Defence
Leonardo Talamonti (Atalanta): The South American was the culprit on both of Genoa’s goals. He failed to close down Rodrigo Palacio and Hernan Crespo and they duly punished him.
Felipe (Fiorentina): He was day-dreaming all afternoon. A step behind the rest, the centre-back was at fault for many defensive lapses and could not deal with Palermo's teenage striker Abel Hernandez.梦游了一个下午，犯了无数次错误，成就了帕拉莫新星Abel Hernandez
Fabio Grosso (Juventus): The veteran left-back does not seem to be putting much effort into his performances lately and sloppily gave away a penalty allowed Roma back into the match. Maybe he’s already looking forward to the World Cup?
Midfield
Francesco Lunardini (Parma): The Gialloblu winger was hooked 40 minutes in after an atrocious display. The 25-year-old provided no support in attack or defence and simply should not be given any more opportunities by coach Francesco Guidolin if he is going to play like this.
Gennaro Gattuso (Milan): The former Rangers ball-winner was simply overrun by Inter’s midfield, even when they had been reduced to 10 men. Based on his derby performance, Rino’s days as a world class defensive midfielder appear to be truly over.
Wesley Sneijder (Inter): The former Ajax star was having a fine game, until he sarcastically applauded the referee and was sent off. Was it harsh? Maybe, but that doesn’t make it any less foolish from the Dutch midfielder.
Simone Pepe (Udinese): Few can understand how the 26-year-old is a consideration for the Italian national team. He lost the ball too often and did not provide any cutting edge going forward against Sampdoria. Definitely the worst on the pitch for the Zebrette.
Attack
Ronaldinho (Milan): ‘Dinho may be a talented player, but against Inter he was kept in check by Maicon and Javier Zanetti in the Rossoneri’s most important Serie A match of the season thus far. Unable to break down the Inter defence and, to make matters worse, the Brazilian ended his display by having a penalty saved by Julio Cesar.
Cristiano Lucarelli (Livorno): Missed a spot kick, and an even worse miss was the rebound! He also ballooned a close-range header over the bar. If Livorno avoid relegation, it is likely that Lucarelli will not be the positive force behind it.
Valeri Bojinov (Parma): Utterly anonymous against Catania, the Bulgarian did not even come close to registering a shot on goal. The form of both himself and his team-mates has severely dipped after the Christmas break.
