Though Fiorentina still have much to fight for in Serie A, as the battle with Genoa and Roma for Champions League qualification looks to be going right down to the wire, they too are looking over their shopping list.
Football agent Claudio Pasqualin was quizzed by the Nuovo Corriere Di Firenze, about the Viola’s prospects in this summer’s marketplace.
“It is tough to make predictions ,” he began, “Because you can never quite tell what [Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo] Corvino will do.
“[Cristian] Zapata is a great player but Udinese will not want to sell him.
“In midfield I think they are fine, if someone of [Marco] Donadel’s quality does not even play, it means they don’t need reinforcements.”
If the Tuscans want strikers, Pasqualin thinks he knows where they will look.“Corvino could dip into Serie B for attackers, there’s [Alberto] Paloschi, or [Riccardo] Meggiorini from Cittadella, or they could even bring [Piergiuseppe] Maritato up from their own youth team.”
