The Viola player has fully recovered from his injury and proved this with the brace scored against Bologna on Monday to help his team up to within reach of fourth place in the standings.
Fiorentina forward Adrian Mutu expressed his satisfaction with the two goals he scored against Bologna that helped his team beat their opponents 3-1 on Monday.
For Mutu the goals were extremely important in proving to everyone that the injury which kept him out in recent weeks has been overcome.
"I want to continue doing well and help the team remain in the positions close to the Champions League zone," declared the Romanian player in an interview with Libertatea.
"The goals gave me wings. Pity I did not score the third one: I had the chance to do so, but I missed.
"Everyone congratulated me at the end of the game, especially [Fiorentina coach, Cesare] Prandelli."
The 30-year-old player has been at Fiorentina since 2006, and has played 73 games for the Viola, scoring an impressive 56 goals along the way. His contribution has helped the club achieve some important objectives over the last two years.
