Simic has declared: "I have many offers, but at the first place there is, I mean, there would be Fiorentina; though I have never been contacted by the tuscan club I hope that it will happen; in the past I have been very close to move to Fiorentina, but Milan never let me go; I love how trainer Prandelli works and in that team everybody improves; I think, for example, that Gilardino will return to his levels"
Milan defender Dario Simic could be heading towards Fiorentina according to his agent Marko Naletilic.
The Croatian international who is currently in Austria and Switzerland has not featured much for the Rossoneri and it is highly likely that Milan are going to off-load him.
According to his agent, his next destination may be the Artemio Franchi as the Viola continue to bring in players hand over fist.
“The Viola are Simic’s first choice if he is to leave,” said Naletilic.
“He is ready to take a pay-cut and he knows that there is an excellent coach in Florence.
“Milan may loan him out to another club and they want to meet the player to discuss this.
“It’s still a little early to tell as Fiorentina have other options but if they choose Simic then we will all be happy.”
Fiorentina qualified for the Champions League and they are currently in the process of reinforcing their side.
Simic is looking for first-team football but he is unlikely to get it if he stays on at Milan.
The Rossoneri have an excellent relationship with Fiorentina after having sold Alberto Gilardino to them last month and this could make Simic's move their a little easier.
