Fiorentina have struggled to find the net lately, being knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Ajax recently and succumbing to a disappointing 2-0 loss to Palermo at home this past weekend.
The team opted to have a meeting in order to highlight the problems plaguing them on and off the pitch and coach Cesare Prandelli discussed the results of that assembly on Tuesday.
"[The players and I] gathered for a face-to-face today. We decided this is a wounded team and that we have gone through nervous reactions that hamper our true value on the pitch," he explained, according to Datasport.
"When a group is confronted with the utmost sincerity, like today, it is always a good sign."
On Monday, Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle confirmed the presence of Prandelli on the Viola bench and the ex-Parma boss is looking to move forward.
"The commitment allows us to feel more clarity, energy, and determination. The words from our patron will be one more incentive to maintain our current position in the standings."
The club currently sit in fourth place, the final Champions League qualifying spot available in Serie A. However, Roma and Genoa lurk just one point behind them.
