Roma defender Matteo Ferrari admits he would like to play for Fiorentina as he weighs up his options.
Ferrari is unsure of his Roma future and recently his agent revealed that the stopper was close to extending his current deal.
However, it seems as if this has failed and now the stopper will be able to sign for any club on a Bosman as his contract expires this summer.
Reports in Italy linked the 29-year-old with moves to Juventus and Fiorentina but the Algerian-born stopper admits he would like to move to Florence to link up with his old Parma pals Cesare Prandelli and Alberto Gilardino.
“There has only been a minor chat with Fiorentina and to be honest I would love to wear the Viola shirt ,” Ferrari told Radio Blu.
“However, I have not yet made any decision over concrete offers and I will need a little time.
“At Fiorentina I would be re-united with Prandelli and Gilardino who I have always found myself well with.”
The Viola are currently strengthening their squad in light of next seasons Champions League commitments and Ferrari would be a welcome addition given his experience in the competition.
