Sebastian Frey is constantly liked with a move away from Fiorentina. The French goalkeeper is regarded as one of the best in Serie A, if not Europe, and is always the subject of transfer speculation.
In the summer of 2008, a proposed move to German champions Bayern Munich did not materialise as Frey voiced his desire to stay with the Viola.
"I'm looking forward to winning something here," he stated, according to ANSA. "We'll see what we can achieve."
Fiorentina currently sit in fourth place in Serie A and Frey, with the help of his defenders, have leaked in just 14 goals so far this term, with only Inter and Juventus conceding less.
"We want to continue this way," said the former Hellas Verona player. "Hopefully, we can begin the year with a victory over Lecce and then prepare for the tour de force with Milan, Juve, and Napoli."
Frey and his teammates will be confident of grabbing three points against Lecce on Sunday and also remain optimistic that they can contend for the UEFA Cup after being knocked out of the Champions League group D phase.
