Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli thinks his team need to give something extra to get a good result at Palermo tomorrow.
Tomorrow's match between Palermo and Fiorentina at the Renzo Barbera stadium could well prove important in this season's Champions League race in Serie A. Both clubs have made no secret of their ambitions, and they have justified those claims by making strong starts in their respective campaigns thus far.
Coach Cesare Prandelli talked about this crucial match, in which he will hope to see his team react well to the heavy defeat a few days ago against Bayern Munich in the Champions League (3-0).
"I fear Palermo's creativity and organisation, they are a team who know what to do and are dangerous both in attack and in midfield," he said. "To get a good result, we will need to take risks and outdo ourselves."
Prandelli then talked specifically about defender Juan Vargas, who was at fault for two of Bayern's goals and has had a difficult start to the season: "He needs to be helped out, but he knows he is going through a tough period.
"It depends on many factors, including himself, how he gets out of this. I, along with all the players, will do everything I can to get him back on track. Mutu? He looks in good shape, both physically and psychologically."
Fiorentina and Palermo are separated by a single point in the Serie A table. Fiorentina are 7th with 13 points, Palermo are 10th with 12.
