Cagliari are close to announcing the official and partial acquisition of AC Milan defender Davide Astori (21) who played on loan for Cremonese (in Serie C) this past season. The deal involves the co-ownership of the youngster between AC Milan and Cagliari. In the meantime, Cagliari defender Michele Canini (22) could leave, even though he recently renewed his contract with the islanders. It is rumoured that Cagliari chairman Cellino is ready to let him go if a significant offer will be made. AC Milan and Fiorentina are favourites to sign Canini.
