JUVENTUS, Plan Sees Prandelli En Route - Reports
The Bianconeri have been having a mixed start to the season with more negative and less positive results being registered both in Serie A and in the Champions League.
Reports have been rife with speculation claiming Coach Claudio Ranieri will be given the chop at the end of term. A number of candidates have been tipped to replace the former Chelsea 'Tinkerman' and none more so than Prandelli.
Sportmediaset claims the Vinovo-based club has a plan in place which will be used to prise the Viola coach away from the Artemio Franchi.
Once the Old Lady captures Prandelli, she will move in for the kill and take Melo and Montolivo in order to give the Juve midfield a fresh look, a new life and, more importantly, two of the best middle men money can buy.
The Piedmont club have come under heavy fire, especially in midfield. The club needs decent midfielders to fight for major honours. Pavel Nedved will hang up his boots next year and Melo would be the perfect replacement.
Montolivo will bring the spark needed to get the ball rolling and the two Viola men would form a great partnership alongside Sebastian Giovinco and Mauro Camoranesi.
Reports also suggest that once Prandelli is in, he will snap up Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi. The Italian international recently claimed he would run to the Old Lady with open arms if he gets the call.
Ranieri is feeling the heat on the bench and he may not be able to sit on it much longer if it gets too hot. Directors at Vinovo are running out of patience and, unless results begin to change, Prandelli may arrive sooner rather than later.
