While this fixture is always the bitterest of derbies it will have added significance for Fiorentina who travel to the Stadio Delle Alpi only one point ahead of Roma in the battle for a Champions League spot.

Barring a miracle the Scudetto belongs to the Old Lady. Despite stuttering to a stalemate with rock-bottom Treviso last weekend, Fabio Capello's men moved nine points clear thanks to Milan's unexpected slip-up at Lecce. In truth the major concern in Turin has been the Champions League for the last few weeks since the Bianconeri held Milan and virtually clinched title No 29, but the passionate hatred of the Gigliati will ensure no apathy is shown here.

Fiorentina have had a dream season but must keep going to the wire if they are to wake up next term with a Champions League place. Last weekend's showdown with Roma finished all-square, but Cesare Prandelli will be a little concerned that the Viola were second best for long periods. Roma secured a point against the champions elect in Week 31, the Gigliati know that they must at least do the same if they are to keep their fate in their hands.

Jonathan Zebina is out with a big toe injury and Fabio Cannavaro is suspended. Capello must wait and see whether Alessandro Del Piero is available.

Prandelli has no new injury worries ahead of the trip to Turin. Sebastien Frey and Michele Pazienza are out for the remainder of the season and Guilherme Do Prado's chances of featuring this term are also slim.
